Inverclyde Councils web site was launched and designed by Web Labs in 2007 October. Focus was on a new user-friendly interface, which was duly delivered along with a complete re-design from the old site with a much more attractive look.

Web Labs were able to utilise their great experience of working with the Public Sector and Local Government. Milton Keynes software company were able, because of there experience of Local Government (working with Preston City Council and Lancaster City Council amongst others) to realise the needs of Inverclyde Council quickly. Utilising all the experience that have made Web Labs, one of the market leaders in Content and Documentation Management, knowing the National Indicators that Local Authorities must work too, designed a website that was eye catching and interactive with the Councils news. Web Labs successfully designed a Business Service Directory allowing individuals to search the Council website for local businesses within the Authority. Installation of the Do It Online service allowed residents to request various services from the Inverclyde Council saw the integration of Web Labs E-Forms.

Result of the new looks web site led to the Council Leader Stephen McCabe commenting…

I’m delighted with the new and improved council website. It’s more straightforward to use, has the most up-to-date information on what’s going on in the Council and gives local people the chance to access services on-line.”

Relationship has now become a long term one. Web Labs are now working with Inverclyde Council to build a full transactional section to allow residents to pay Council Tax online. Another success story between Web Labs and the Public Sector.

Once again Web Labs have helped a Local Authority improve its service focusing results on long-term delivery without question.
